Occupational Profiles of our Graduates

Our graduates may take part in various grades of public enterprises such as Central Bank, Under secretariat of Treasury, Under secretariat of Foreign Trade, State Planning Organization, Capital Markets Board and Chambers of Industry and Commerce, in addition to the private sector enterprises such as industrial corporations, banking organizations, tourism organizations, counseling organizations, accounting and supervision corporations, insurance companies and transportation services. Some of the other positions that our graduates may work and take part in management positions are bank examiner and profession, freelance financial consultant, marketing and human resources, production planning and inventory control, administrative information system.

Gözde Bekil - 2018 Graduate

As one of the first graduates of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, I can say that our department has a wide scale. It is possible to take part in any of the finance, economics, accounting, auditing, etc. fields with the knowledge the University has provided us. My career planning started by performing a voluntary internship in the Financial Affairs Directorate at Izmir University of Economics before I finished school, and then working at PwC Independent Auditing and SMMM A.Ş. company and deciding which areas I wanted to focus on. Since I wanted to specialize in finance/economics, my job preferences were in this direction. I worked as a Finance Specialist in Medical Park Hospitals group for 2 years. Currently, I am working as a Finance and Treasury Manager in Medicana Hospitals group.

Burak Tarakçı - 2019 Graduate

It is my 3rd year in the Istanbul office of PwC Independent Audit and SMMM A.Ş. company. I work in the Auditing Department as Senior Associate. My duty is to prepare the independent auditor's report and ensure the assistants get involved in the background work and deliver the report to the Lead Auditor after providing the control. The biggest reason for me to take part in important auditing tasks is definitely the education I received in IUE Department of Accounting and Auditing. I can easily say that studying Accounting and Auditing among more than 100 newly graduated personnel each year has made me come to the front among these 100 people and take part in more important audits.
